* Here's an alternate opening to Joss Whedon's Avengers movie. It certainly feels Whedonesque. Unlike Spinoff, I'm not sure this wouldn't have improved the movie. I would love to see a Director's Cut or expanded edition or whatever so I can make up my own mind.
* Roger Green talks about the forthcoming FantaCon, a revival of the Albany, NY comic book conventions originally started by the late, great FantaCo comic book store in the very late '70s. I think the 1981 convention was my first. The new show, organized by FantaCo's Tom Skulan and including guests like Fred Hembeck and Steve Bissette, is happening in a little over a year, in September, 2013. Much more info in the link.
* The more they talk about Marvel NOW! the less I understand it. When I thought it was three books, I was somewhat excited about a couple of them. Now it seems like it's every book, and my interest has plummeted. Ah, it's probably just as well. For my wallet, I mean.
