Galaxy Newsbrief - January 25th, 2013

* "Reserve your copy now!" I wonder how receptive retailers selling comic books in the mid-1960s were to such requests, and how many they got? Keep in mind 99.9 percent of them were retailers of many things other than comic books.

* I'd buy a decent, full-colour print of this Heroes illustration by Jim Steranko.

* Roger Green reviews Wreck-It Ralph, one of the 2012 movies I enjoyed the hell out of.

* Uncomics: Because I don't see a lot of TV commercials, I missed this, and if you did too, here's William Shatner and Kaley Cuoco's Priceline commercial. Someone told me the car Shatner is driving is the same one young James Tiberius Kirk stole in the 2009 Star Trek movie, but they appear to be wrong.

* Uncomics: Gun nuts are so nutty they contradict most of their core beliefs so they can cling to their people-killing possessions.
